Psychiatric Treatment and Psychotherapy
I treat adults of all ages (18yo old and older) with different psychiatric and mental health conditions, ranging from treatment of adjustment disorder, maternal mental health (including anxiety and depression during and after pregnancy),anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorders, phobias, ADHD, trauma related disorders, loss, low self-esteem, life transitions, relational difficulties, and personality disorders.
I have an integrated approach to psychotherapy that draws on severe areas of psychological, neuroscience, but that is mainly informed by psychodynamic principles. This approach helps individuals gains an understanding into their emotions, thoughts, and behavioral relationship patterns. This is turns helps individuals gain better control of their symptoms. The services I provide include diagnostic assessment, psychotherapy (with and without medications), and medication management.
I take an individual approach with each patient, and aim to build strong relationships with all of my patients.

Treatment Process
I alot 90 minutes for an initial consultation. This allows me time to gather your history, assess your current symptoms or problems, and then time to discuss my recommendations for treatment. This process also gives us a good sense as to how good a match we are for for meeting your treatment goals.
Your individual needs will determine the approach we take (e.g., psychotherapy, use of medications), as well as the frequency of our sessions. Each session is 45 minutes in length. However, we may meet anywhere from 1 to 2 times/ week (for psychotherapy), to once a month or quarterly, depending on the types of treatment (e.g., medications), and your treatment goals.

Controlled Substance Policy
I limit use of controlled medications (this includes benzodiazepines and stimulant medication for ADHD). I will verify your history using medical and prescription records from the last 3 months. Without these records, you will be restarted on treatment based on your history, my clinical assessment and clinical guidelines. For stimulant treatment for ADHD, I require past ADHD testing records (e.g., neuropsychological testing) in order to prescribe stimulants. If you are looking to be diagnosed with ADHD, I will require that you get neuropsychological testing, as this is the definitive way ADHD is diagnosed. If ADHD is diagnosed based on neuropsychological testing, then we can proceed with treatment for ADHD, which can include stimulants.
Please note that I do not prescribe controlled substances at your first appointment without prior medical records and verification
